The educational philosophy of Temple Christian Academy is based upon a God-centered view of truth and man as presented in the Bible. We believe that a child's education must aim for the total person: academically, spiritually, morally, and physically. We also believe that a Christ-centered curriculum and academic excellence can coexist. Therefore, we integrate God's Word into every part of our students' learning so that the student will learn to see all truth as God's truth.

It is our belief that each TCA student has a unique ability and personality. We encourage our students to strive for both personal excellence and independent thinking in all their endeavors. Through Christ's guardianship, we hope that our students will mature to lead a prioritized wholeness in life, be productive leaders, and become a testimony to Christian living (Matthew 6:33).

Reporting Student Progress

Halfway through each quarter, students will receive a progress report indicating strengths or weaknesses in each subject and conduct area. This report is designed to inform parents of student progress (academically and in conduct) and must be signed and returned to the homeroom teacher within three school days.

Scholastic Probation

If a student has a GPA (Grade Point Average) less than a 2.0 at the end of the school year, that student will be placed on scholastic probation. Their records will be brought before the Academic and Disciplinary Committee for review. The parent will be notified of the decision made by the committee, and the committee may ask that the parent(s) come in with their child for a meeting with the administration.

Grading Scale

REQUIREMENTS: All high school students must earn at least 27½ credits for the general program and 27½ credits for the advanced program in order to graduate. Credits are given according to semester grades and not the end-of-the-year grade. To earn a credit, a student must receive at least a 70% for each semester. In addition to a general graduation diploma, an advanced high school diploma is offered as well. Students will be counseled on an individual basis regarding specific requirements for the two types of diplomas. Since this is a Christian school, a student must also be enrolled in and pass a Bible class each year while attending TCA. Credit needs are listed below:
