Temple Christian Academy was excited to welcome students back to campus on August 12. Because of the ongoing health conditions created by Covid-19, TCA has taken extra precautions to protect the health and wellness of our students. We are abiding by all executive orders issued by the state of Texas and are following TEA and CDC guidelines in order to keep our students safe.
Below are just a few of the general guideliens we are following in order to best serve our student body.
Our Response Includes:
Every student and staff member must have his/her temperature taken when entering the building. Anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms will be denied access. If a student shows symptoms during the day, he/she will be assessed by the school nurse, and parents will be notified.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING MEASURES
Our staff will take an active role cleaning and sanitizing the campus. In addition to regular cleaning procedures, teachers will be encouraging students to regularly wash their hands and use hand sanitizer. Restrooms and common areas will be treated with additional care.
SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN POSSIBLE
Special care will be taken to distance students in the classrooms and the lunchroom.
Masks will not be required for elementary students. However, if a parent desires his/her child to wear a mask, the child may do so. Masks will not be required for secondary students in the classrooms, but will be required in the hallways and common areas.
In the event school is interrupted, we will switch seamlessly to online instruction. Our teachers have been trained and will teach their classes live online if circumstances require.
